We already covered Kelvin Banks. Now we’re doing the other Texas tackle, Cameron Williams. No time to waste so without further ado, here is your 2025 NFL Draft profile!
Williams, 21, was a three star recruit coming out of the state of Texas. During the 2022 cycle, Williams was rated as the 56th rated offensive tackle and 94th player in the state. He’s also an early declare after only starting for Texas just this past year.
No Combine here at all. The only thing we have to go off of is his actual game film. Something that’s not really ideal because I think the Combine is a huge measure of success for the fat guys up front. The positive is that I watched a ton of Texas, and for the most part, he really held his own. Keep in mind, Texas was finalist for the Joe Moore Award, and Williams had something to do with it.
Maybe some of you will call this lazy analysis. I don’t really care. It’s just how it seems to be playing out. Williams sure feels like the worse version of what Emery Jones gave LSU. Big guy with length at 6-foot-6, 317, with over 34 inch arms and probably best suited to stick at right tackle. Williams doesn’t appear to be overly skilled but his frame sure is working for him.
Granted, this is in the SEC, but Williams gave up five sacks and 18 pressures last year. He needs more starting and playing experience. It’s good but not great type of stuff.
I have a round 3-4 grade on Cameron Williams. Linemen with this type of frame don’t grow on trees. I like him as a developmental tackle option who becomes a starter in the backhalf of his rookie contract.
