Cam Ward 2025 Fantasy Football Profile

The NFL Draft is over and now we’re into the dog days of the NFL offseason, clinging on to camp reports and just praying that the days to the NFL season fly by. For me, this is when I try to do my fantasy prep, which I reluctantly want to share with y’all.

I don’t like sharing my secrets because a lot of the fantasy I play is with friends, family, and people from the site. I feel like I’m giving them insight on how my brain thinks and I don’t like it, so be thankful.

Let’s start with Cam Ward and analyze his value for Dynasty and Re-Draft for fantasy. Here’s your Cam Ward fantasy football profile for the 2025 season.

Re-Draft:

First, I will use the logic that you’re in a two-QB league and not a pansy that plays in a one-QB league where you have starting QBs that you can pick up on the waiver wire, what a horrible way to play fantasy. One-QB and a superflex league is fine, I like to play 2 QBs and a superflex. I love it.

Anyway, Cam Ward in a re-draft league is not something you are going to want to reach for. As good as I think he might be, there are a few things that are concerning. For one, if he were drafted last year, I think he would have been QB4 behind Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels and Drake Maye. So while he is talented, he isn’t generational. Also, he’s still a rookie, there are going to be growing pains, especially with a team that isn’t good like the Titans.

What does help is that the Titans will be bad and they will have to throw the ball a lot to stay in games. That type of volume could be beneficial for Cam Ward fantasy owners. There is some talent around Ward as well. Calvin Ridley is old, but he can still play a little; Tony Pollard is good; Tyjae Spears is explosive when healthy. They did sign Tyler Lockett and Van Jefferson. On top of that, they drafted Elic Ayomayor and Chimere Dike. So there was an attempt to put a team around him, but nothing necessarily game-changing around him unless Calvin Ridley finds his form.

I currently have a top 20 QB fantasy projection for Cam Ward. I do think he can sneak in closer to the top 10, but not break it. It’s hard to expect a lot from their rookie in their first year. Don’t reach on Cam Ward, he will be solid depth you can find in the late rounds or a guy you can spend under $10 on in an Auction league.

Dynasty:

Dynasty is a different ball game where age and roster building come into account. This is where Cam Ward becomes immensely more valuable in fantasy due to his age and potential. With Ward only being 22, his value in 2025 for dynasty raises exponentially.

Instead of being a top 20 QB for re-draft leagues, I would comfortably put him as a top 12 QB for Dynasty. Yeah, some QBs might be better than him right now, but being a rookie QB in fantasy that could start right away is nasty. Plus, it helps that I actually think he’s good. Any old QBs on your roster need to be replaced by young guys unless you are in win-now mode.

If you haven’t had your rookie draft yet, Ward is probably a top 3 or top 5 pick. I would pick him 3 after Ashton Jeanty and TreVeyon Henderson.
