Cam Newton Offers Harsh Take On Caitlin Clark

I’d argue there is no bigger talking point over the last two months than Caitlin Clark. Clark has dominated the news waves as of late, most notably yesterday when it was announced she was left off the USA Women’s Olympic team.

It seems like everyone and their mother has an opinion on Clark, and yesterday another name was added to that list. Former NFL MVP Cam Newton weighed in on the overall status of Clark on his podcast 4th & 1.

Full quote via FoxNews.com:

“Why are we acting as if she’s America’s sweetheart in a league that, she’s in a league full of hyenas and lions, tigers and bears? Everybody is comin’ after you to try to dethrone you, and trying to get in your head – mentally, physically, emotionally,”

Personally, I think Cam Newton is a clown and this is just another terrible opinion of his. Newton is trying so hard to stay relevant after he flamed out of the NFL, and saw a way to attach his name to Caitlin Clark to get views for his terrible podcast.

It seems like everyone is trying to put their name up with Clark for notoriety, and Newton is just another person to do so. Now, is anyone going to take his words seriously? That’s another discussion for another time.

Cam Newton going after Caitlin Clark is embarrassing on his part. Big, bad men trying to put down a woman instead of giving her her flowers for all she is doing for the WNBA is not a great look on his part, but he’s way too dense to understand it.

Clark deserves way better than she has been getting from the media since she was drafted No. 1 overall in the 2024 WNBA draft, and hopefully, we start to see it in the media.
