Cam Akers Is A Potential 2022 Fantasy League Winner

You have to be early, not late. The people who are good at fantasy football always find the running backs that hit at JUST the right time. Heading into the 2022 NFL Season, Cam Akers should be one name very high on your priority list for fantasy. The Rams running back absolutely has league winning potential this year.

Fantasy Pros currently has Akers as RB16 heading into the year. A ranking that is totally Loony Tunes. Nobody with a brain is taking that bum Saquon Barkley ahead of Akers. It’s totally outrageous the ranking that Akers has been given.

Akers is only ranked this low because they are worried about injuries. You’re not taking the guy based on past performance. You are taking him on future performance. If you want to get held up on injuries, be my guest. However, Akers is 100 percent healthy now and rushing back to try to help contribute towards a Super Bowl winning season shouldn’t be frowned upon.

Akers, 23 today actually, has a ton of tread on the tires and they’re going to feed him the rock. Akers has established himself as the clear cut RB1 on the roster. Over and over again we saw it last postseason. Sean McVay went to a recovering Akers over even a guy like Darrell Henderson that’s had success. McVay isn’t an idiot. He sees the talent. Akers is a man rocket and if you don’t get it now, you will pay the price for it later.

Of course, Akers was one of the most decorated recruits in college football in 2017. That was as a hs wildcat quarterback and was just so much better than everyone he just took direct snaps and went the distance. He’s going to figure this running back thing out. He’s too talented not to.

We also went over this in the JK Dobbins post. When it comes to fantasy, you have to be early. You have to find that window right before they pop. I have a running back dripping with talent in a great offense and nobody is jumping to take him? Your loss, I’ll take him.

Mark my words; Cam Akers is a league winner this year. Big year coming. This guy is a freak and will get the opportunity to carry the rock 200 times for the defending Super Bowl champs. Who is the idiot that thinks Barkley will outscore this guy? It’s a joke. I want Akers in every league I’m in and consider him a top 5 back in fantasy for 2022. The breakout is coming heading into his third NFL season.
