The Tampa Bay Buccaneers made a big splash earlier inking speedy wide out DeSean Jackson to a deal. Now they will add a formidable presence to the defensive line in the form of Chris Baker. Peter Schrager of Fox Sports reported the news on Baker.
Baker has racked up 10.5 sacks the past 2 seasons for the Redskins. Pro Football Focus ranked him as the 18th best interior defensive lineman in 2016. He will now team up with Gerald McCoy to give the Bucs a scary defensive tackle duo. Robert Ayers and Noah Spence will round out the rest of the defensive line.
Baker, 29, is a former undrafted free agent from Hampton back in 2009. He has spent the last 6 seasons with Washington after playing with Denver as a rookie and Miami in his 2nd NFL campaign.
