Brandon Aiyuk is delusional and currently lives in Looney Tunes land. Something we’ve been over in the last week. It appears that Aiyuk and the 49ers remain far apart in contract talks. Something a five year old can figure out by now. If the former Arizona State product was moved, he’s eyeing a trade to either Pittsburgh or Washington.
“I’m taking it personal,” Aiyuk said about negotiations on “The Pivot” podcast. “I have a vision for what I see myself as.”
“If I were to take a guess, probably a Niner uniform. If not a Niners uniform, probably a Washington Commanders uniform. If not a Washington Commanders uniform, probably a Steelers uniform.”
“I feel like right now I’m in the right place, in the right spot, with the right quarterback right now. But we’re not on the right terms,” Aiyuk said.
Aiyuk, 26, notched 75 receptions for 1,342 yards and seven touchdowns a season ago.
This is my problem with Aiyuk. Remember that thing Brad Stevens said the other week? Something about wanting players with self-awareness. Aiyuk wants you to believe videos like this are a smart thing to do. If the 49ers were smart, they would have traded this clown months ago.
“Social media is a way for me and my team to leverage myself and what I’m trying to get because that’s the way to get the message out there and get the facts out there,” Aiyuk said on the podcast.
