The Boston Celtics Can Win The 2020 NBA Title

How many teams can realistically win the NBA Title? Is it realistically more than 3 or 4? All that I know is that the Boston Celtics are one of those teams. In terms of title contenders, nobody is being overlooked more than the C’s. There is no doubt that the Boston Celtics have what it takes to win the 2020 NBA Title.

Boston has one thing that nobody else does. The Celtics have 3 players who are averaging over 20 points a game (Kemba Walker, Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown). You can add one more to the list of players that can easily score 25 on any given night with Gordon Hayward. He’s averaging 17.3 points per night but shooting over 50 percent from the floor and close to 40 percent from deep. There isn’t another team in the NBA that can say this.

I think the Bucks doubters are looking at them wrong. What if Giannis is worth 3 All-Stars? Okay, let’s say he cancels out Kemba Walker, Jaylen Brown, and Gordon Hayward. Are you telling me Jayson Tatum can’t outplay Khris Middleton in a series? Insert whoever you want. Nobody else’s 4th guy has the ability to outplay Middleton. Just the Celtics.

I would say coaching matters. Nobody is better than Brad Stevens. You can check that box. Do they have heart? Have you seen Marcus Smart? Check. Can they play defense? Boston ranks 3rd in defensive efficiency. Check that box too. Can they score at an elite level? The Celtics rank 4th in offensive rating. Check that box too. How about a closer? Did you watch Kemba during his NCAA tournament run with UConn? Check. Do they have a player that can be the best guy on the floor? Have you seen Jayson Tatum during the month of February? Check.

What’s the weakness? The Celtics don’t have reliable centers? Who cares? Did Golden State when they won titles? Nope. Did Miami when they won titles? Nope. By the way, Daniel Theis might be better than his matchup in the postseason anyway. He’s pretty good… Enes Kanter can rebound with the best of them. They’re fine down low. Boston’s small ball lineup is deadly too and Grant Williams is getting better by the day.

How many teams can win the 2020 NBA title? You would be a fool to count the Celtics out of that equation. The Boston Celtics can win the 2020 NBA title. There might not be a team that is more complete than the C’s.
