If you’ve been searching for a classic mac and cheese joint in Toronto, look no further! Bobbie Sue’s mac and cheese, located on Ossington Street, has great mac and cheese dishes for a great price.
Each bowl ranges from $11-20, depending on size and amount of protein. This makes for a filling meal that won’t break the bank! Each dish has a perfect amount of al dente noodles, mixed with a creamy cheese sauce that is savory and not overbearing. They specialize in different flavors that have their own unique kick.
Their flavors have a great range for all kinds of different eaters. Regardless of the different options, each bowl shares the same delicious creaminess and cheesiness from the sauce.
The combination of ingredients in the flavors perfectly complements each other. For the “Green Trees Mac,” the broccoli goes great with the cheese, as it’s similar in flavor to a delicious broccoli cheddar soup! The tartness from the broccoli goes well with the cheesiness from the sharp cheese–making for a perfect $13 bowl of goodness.
The tanginess from the buffalo chicken in the “Blue Buffalo Chicken Mac” compliments the sauce perfectly. The spiciness from the chicken balances the creaminess from the cheese. Every dish has the perfect ratio of al dente noodles to sauce. Each bite has something special that sets it apart from your average mac and cheese. The texture of the al dente noodles, the creamy sauce and any special addition that adds a kick, is what makes up a perfect bowl of this mac!
Although there’s not much seating at that location, you can make it work. All you have to do is grab some mac and cheese and some friends, take your delicious meal to the park and sit on the bench!
