It looks like Tyrod Taylor’s Bills tenure is coming to a close. Trusted Bills reporter Vic Carucci of the Buffalo News has reported that Buffalo’s general manager Doug Whaley wants to give Cardale Jones the opportunity to start at quarterback next season.
Jones, a 2016 4th round pick, is a bit of a wildcard quarterback prospect. Jones led Ohio State to a National Championship in 2015 but was benched just a year later in favor of J.T. Barrett. Cardale Jones did get to see the field during the week 17 season finale where he completed 6-11 throws for 96 yards and an interception. Time will tell if Cardale Jones can be the Bills savior.
Buffalo will likely bring in a veteran to compete with Cardale. There is an earlier report that suggests the Bills are going to be suitors for Tony Romo but he is only expected to be interested in playing for a contender. There is a chance Buffalo could keep Tyrod Taylor but the two sides would have to re-work the contract.
