We’re still rolling with these cornerbacks here for the 2025 NFL Draft profile series. Next up on deck is Notre Dame’s Benjamin Morrison. Time is ticking here, so if you don’t mind, I’m just going to get to the point now.
NFL Draft Stock Report: Week 8
Morrison, 21, was a four star recruit during the 2022 cycle. The Phoenix, Arizona, native was also ranked as the 37th ranked corner and 4th overall player in the state. The junior corner spent all three years with the Fighting Irish.
The crazy thing is with this timeline, you almost have to look at it in reverse. Morrison missed the last ten weeks of the season this year, so I never got a great look at him. This is the good news, we’re talking about a guy who was named a Freshman All-American in 2022, notching six picks that year. That was followed up with a 10 PUB, three pick season. Also, if you want to use the common sense factor, it should probably be applied here.
We found out Cam Hart is pretty good this past year. When those two were on the same team, Morrison was viewed as their top corner. That should at least give you a good sense of what you’re probably getting. Again, because of the injury, we have no Combine to work with either. He doesn’t have insane length, but the ND product checks in at 6-foot, 193.
This is a press outside corner with plus ball skills. Pretty good feet and never felt like he was going to be slow if we did see him run. If you’re a believer in Morrison, watch his freshman stuff and leave the rest alone. If you’re not a believer, maybe you don’t think he will be the same after a hip injury and it’s not like he was every a super physically imposing force.
I do like Benjamin Morrison but I’m not really positive how high I’d go here. I think he’s probably a red chip guy and solid starter but probably wouldn’t say you’re getting something at the top of the food chain elite status.
