Why is this even surprising? Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is not only active but will start today vs. the Ravens. Big Ben is only two weeks removed from meniscus surgery. Ravens outside linebacker Terrell Suggs had the quote of the week leading up to this rivalry game.
“I seen this movie before,” Suggs said Wednesday, according to NFL Network’s Aditi Kinkhabwala. “We all know who’s playing.”
“Tell Ben he’s not fooling anyone.”
Baltimore has likely been preparing for Roethlisberger all week. Pittsburgh heads into this contest at 4-3 while Baltimore comes in at 3-4, losers of 4 straight.
Big Ben is probably not 100 percent but he wasn’t going to miss a crucial game vs. divisional rival Baltimore. Roethlisberger’s track record returning from injury isn’t pretty. Big Ben has been below average at 2-5 with 201.9 passing yards per game, 9 touchdowns, 10 interceptions and a 73.3 passer rating.
