Belal Muhammad, Jack Della Maddalena Set To Headline UFC 315

UFC welterweight champion Belal Muhammad will attempt to title against Jack Della Maddalena at UFC 315. The event will feature a women’s flyweight title fight between Valentina Shevchenko and Manon Fiorot in the co-main event.

UFC CEO Dana White announced the fights on Instagram Live.

The UFC 315 main event came to fruition because injuries prevented Shavkat Rakhmonov from competing. Muhammad and Rakhmonov is the title fight the promotion has been attempting to book for a long period. Originally, the pair were supposed to fight at UFC 310, but Muhammed was forced out with an injury. Now, the bout is being held up on the Rakhmonov side.

Della Maddalena is a solid contender considering the situation. The Australian was originally scheduled to fight in the UFC London main event against Leon Edwards. That bout would have served him with an opportunity to earn a title fight. The promotion to a title fight is not unreasonable.

The co-main event comes with far less confusion. Fiorot was the most deserving contender to fight for the women’s flyweight title. The rising contender is 7-0 in the UFC with wins over Erin Blanchfield, Rose Namajunas and others.

The UFC 315 fight card is far from complete, but it has several other notable fights. Welterweight prospect Michael Morales will take on Gilbert Burns. Meanwhile, former women’s flyweight champion Alexa Grasso will fight Natalia Silva.

UFC 315 will take place in Montréal, Canada, on May 10, 2025. The fight card is far from complete.
