Azeez Ojulari Is Pumped To Join Former Georgia Teammates With Eagles

The Eagles added Azeez Ojulari in free agency on a cheap contract and will essentially serve as the Josh Sweat replacement this year. Sweat departed for Arizona and Ojulari was a really nice save job by Howie Roseman. Oh, and maybe Ojulari will be revitalized by reuniting with his former collegiate teammates at the University of Georgia.

“It’s amazing having that chemistry and brotherhood with those guys, it’s just amazing to come back here and just keep it going on,” Ojulari said, via the team’s website. “We got so many Georgia guys here. Nolan, that’s my brother for real. All of them are my brothers, but Nolan, since we’ve been in the same room since Georgia, I’m probably more close with him. But I’m close with all of them – we all share that brotherhood and the relationship we have is amazing. I’m ready to be here now.”

It’s not exactly a short list of former Georgia teammates that Ojulari is reuniting with in Philadelphia. The Eagles employ Jalen Carter, Jordan Davis, Nakobe Dean, Kelee Ringo, and Nolan Smith who all played with Ojulari in Athens.

If we’ve learned anything covering the NFL Draft, it’s obvious the best and brightest do not run these teams. Would anyone be shocked if Georgia safety Malaki Starks fell right into Philadelphia’s lap with the last pick in the first round? It sure would be hilarious if the Eagles really found a way to get their hands on another stud defensive player from Georgia.
