We’re finally here. After discussing all 32 teams, we end the war room series with the team that has the first pick in the draft, the Arizona Cardinals. Let’s not waste any time. What will the Cardinals do during the 2019 NFL Draft. Let’s head inside the war room!
First Round (Pick 1) – I don’t see how the Cardinals can go into this draft and not pick Kyler Murray. If you’re going to hire Kliff Kingsbury and embrace the Big 12 offense, how do they not pick Murray? At that point, you have to go all in. Kliff Kingsbury’s best chance to succeed is with Kyler. End of story. No other reason to debate it. Josh Rosen is a terrible fit for this offense. Arizona also has a dreadful offensive line. You can fix that with a mobile quarterback. It’s just a marriage that makes too much sense not to happen.
Second Round (Pick 33) – It’s always a good idea to pair a rookie quarterback with a left tackle. I don’t know who will fall but one will. Andre Dillard, Jonah Williams, and Greg Little are all options. If one isn’t on the board, go guard or center. This offensive line stinks and it needs a lot of help.
Third Round (Pick 65) – Offensive line is a good spot to go again. If they go guard in the second round, go tackle with a Tytus Howard, Dalton Risner, or Chuma Edoga. Guard works too with Connor McGovern, Ross Pierschbacher, or Michael Jordan.
Those are just some of the offensive linemen they can choose from. Whoever they like, go get him. I can’t stress enough how dreadful this offensive line is.
