The Indianapolis Colts will be without their No. 4 overall draft pick for at least the next month.

Rookie sensation Anthony Richardson appeared to have suffered a Grade 3 AC joint sprain in the Colts’ victory against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, according to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport.

Richardson had already suffered a concussion earlier this season against the Houston Texans and returned in Week 4. Now, the Colts will be without their starter, with backup quarterback Gardner Minshew filling in for the Florida phenom.

When Richardson was out with a concussion, Minshew started against the Baltimore Ravens and the Houston Texans. Against the Texans, Minshew went 19-for-23 for 171 yards and a touchdown. Then, a week later, he went 27-for-44 for 227 yards and one touchdown, leading the way to two impressive road victories.

On Sunday, Minshew came in for the injured Richardson, going 11-for-14 for 155 yards and no touchdowns or interceptions. Minshew managed the game, and with the help of running back Zack Moss, the Colts pulled out another victory.

Before Richardson went down, he was playing very well. He’s still a very raw player, but he’s shown that he is going to be trouble for defenses in the very near future. Richardson has thrown for 577 yards, three touchdowns and one interception to go along with 136 yards on 25 attempts rushing. He’s also added four TDs on the ground.

Colts fans shouldn’t be worried, Minshew is more than capable of holding down the fort, giving Anthony Richardson time to heal to try and push this surprisingly good Colts team to a potential playoff berth.
