Anthony Edwards: Knicks Will Miss Donte DiVincenzo

How does Anthony Edwards feel about the fact that the Timberwolves traded Karl-Anthony Towns away? Edwards is a pretty up beat guy so it’s hard to know for sure but he seems pretty happy to have Donte DiVincenzo as a new teammate.

The Timberwolves superstar claims the Knicks are going to miss DiVincenzo and he’s happy to have him on his side:

“Hell yeah, he’s motivated every night he plays,” Edwards said. “Even when I used to play against him, that motherf–ker was busting through screens, and when he’s going downhill, he’s going downhill. He’s aggressive with everything that he does. 

“So you can’t be mad at him, man. He does everything. He makes all the right plays. F–king shoots the cover off the ball. I mean, I know New York is gonna miss him.” 

How Does Jalen Brunson Feel About The Knicks Trading Away Donte DiVincenzo?

One thing Edwards is for sure right about is that DiVincenzo has the right mentality and he can shoot the lights out of the ball. DiVincenzo, 27, shot over 40% from three last year and converted 283 of them successfully a year ago. A guy that can shoot like this fits any roster in the league so I don’t think there is any reason to be concerned here.

Really… it’s a matter of if Julius Randle fits this team. The fit with Randle and Rudy Gobert in the front court is beyond weird and it’s fair to question the spacing with that duo. If there is anything Edwards should be worried about in the aftermath of that deal, it’s how Randle fits.
