I have been saying for the better part of a year that I believe that Cal quarterback Davis Webb will become the best quarterback in the 2017 NFL Draft. My prediction that he will have a brighter future than Jared Goff looks better and better by the day. Now we recently found out that an anonymous NFL Exec agrees with me.
“If I were a team like Cleveland, I would take impact players at (pick Nos.) 1 and 12 and then trade back into the bottom of the first round for Davis Webb,” the executive told NFL.com analyst Daniel Jeremiah. “I think he will end up being the best quarterback of this draft class.”
It’s funny how Jeremiah spent 4 days at the Senior Bowl saying he wasn’t that good and then changes his mind saying he “needs to go watch more tape” (what a joke).
Back to Webb, the Cal product really shined during the Senior Bowl practices. He was named the MVP of the Senior Bowl which could be a good sign considering Dak Prescott won that award a year ago. In what is regarded as a weak quarterback class, Webb has the best tools in order to succeed in the league in my opinion. Below are some of my notes on Webb to kick off the NFL Draft process.
