Mookie Betts is a true five-tool baseball player. It’s why he is virtually a lock to win the MVP in 2018. The thing that many may not know is that Mookie a man of the people. His 6th tool is that he is a great person on and off the baseball field. A guy who everyone should look up to. After Game 2 of the World Series in Boston, Mookie Betts went to go feed homeless people in the city. The biggest stage in the sport couldn’t distract Betts from pulling off more heroics.

Former Red Sox player and current WEEI radio host, Lou Merloni, had the details:

“Little birdie told me an amazing story. This was the scene last night around 1am out in front of the Boston Library. Trays and trays of food fed the homeless. The man that delivered the food wasn’t looking for attention or praise BUT deserves it. God Bless you Mookie Betts”

This is exactly why the Red Sox are going to win the World Series. Aaron Judge had zero self-awareness and decided to blast the song “New York, New York” outside of the Red Sox clubhouse. It was an anti-Derek Jeter move and now the Red Sox have planted its flag and purged that song as a Boston song now. That was then followed up by Alex Bregman posting Instagram videos of Nathan Eovaldi giving up back to back to back home runs to the Astros. Bregman then finished the rest of the series 0-10 including getting struck out on a 102 MPH fastball by Eovaldi. The universe also can’t let that scumbag Manny Machado win the World Series after trying to take out Jesus Aguilar’s Achilles.

Boston Red Sox 2018 Season Preview

How can anyone not like Mookie Betts? He’s the best offensive player in baseball. He’s the best defensive player in baseball. Lastly, he might also be the best person in baseball. By the way, this is not the first time Mookie Betts has done this.
