After a brief moment in time, we all thought Tom Brady was officially retired. But boy, has the speculation of a possible return come flooding back. During the 2023 NFL Combine weekend, NFL Network anchor Rich Eisen has started some more rumors about Brady un-retiring for a second time, according to the New York Post.
“A couple people were just like, ‘Hang on, just you wait.’ And I was like, ‘He’s Instagramming out pictures of his cat.’ But it doesn’t look like he’s getting big and fat, does it? Let it play out. Let’s see who wants what,” Rich Eisen said, via New York Post.
Rumors have been floating around that Brady might be going to Miami before Tua Tagovailoa got the nod for the starter in 2023.
“This one just blew my mind: Tom Brady might not be done after all,” Eisen said, via New York Post.
“The one place that folks are saying to keep an eye out for is Miami,” Eisen said. “If the Dolphins, somehow or some way get a doctor’s report or piece of information from a medical evaluation of Tua [Tagovailoa] that he may not be ready to go, and suddenly there’s Tom Brady sitting in Florida, where his family is located and where he can easily locate himself,” Eisen said, via New York Post.
The Dolphins tampered with Brady before in 2019 while he was in New England. Brady would eventually join Tampa Bay in 2020 and go onto win a Super Bowl in his first season with the Buccaneers. In the next few weeks, after the draft, it will be interesting to see if Rich Eisen and other analysts are right about a potential Brady return.
