AEW: Fight Forever Teen Rating Was Never in Jeopardy — Reports

AEW: Fight Forever is the company’s debut video game. The professional wrestling video game market has been dominated by WWE for the last two decades. There haven’t been many companies who have tried to make a video game, let alone have success in doing so.

However, AEW has quickly risen to become a fan-favorite company. They have become WWE’s biggest competition since WCW. So, with so many fans backing the company, there has been a lot of anticipation for when AEW: Fight Forever will be released. Although there isn’t an official release date announced, you can pre-order the game.

There were reports that AEW couldn’t get a ‘T for Teen’ rating from ESRB, but AEW reportedly denied that was the reason. However, Kenny Omega made some interesting comments about the game.

Kenny Omega’s Comments

Kenny Omega was on Swerve Strickland’s Podcast, Swerve City Podcast, and talked about AEW: Fight Forever.

Omega said, “I’m not sure how much we had to scale it back” (H/T Sportskeeda). This implied that they had to adjust some aspects of the game to get a better rating. However, Max Everett of Sportskeeda reported that AEW reached out to them and said Omega’s comments were “misunderstood.” They reiterated that the game’s Teen rating was never in jeopardy.

Also, AEW reportedly said that the game didn’t have to get scaled back, contradicting Omega’s comments. Furthermore, AEW reportedly noted that Omega was been involved in the creative process for the game in a big way since the beginning.

AEW: Fight Forever still is without an official release date. However, AEW reportedly told Sportskeeda that there will be one soon.
