Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe Feuding Wednesday

He’s back! Shannon Sharpe returned to Undisputed on Wednesday and immediately traded barbs with Skip Bayless. Sharpe rightfully wanted to focus on Damar Hamlin‘s health and status rather than Bayless’ controversial tweet. He did not get into much detail on why he skipped out on yesterday’s episode but that’s not the point. Less than 60 seconds after getting on air, the two co-hosts already got into it.

Check out below:

Isn’t that crazy? Years of working together and building a bond goes up in smoke over a single tweet.

However, Bayless is now reaping what he sowed. In Twitter, the term “ratio” has become very common — the ratio between likes, comments, and retweets/quote tweets. In his infamous tweet, Bayless has racked up one of the most disgusting ratios in history: 43,500 likes, 78,000 quote tweets, and 107,300 comments!

If the beginning of Undisputed says anything, then that anger has also translated into both the real and digital world.

Current Updates

At the time of writing, the pair was able to move past the shaky intro and continue the show, but I am sure Shannon Sharpe is still fuming.

Skip Bayless seemed to care very little of Hamlin with that tweet. Obviously, he has tried his best to clarify his stance and apologize, but he has not deleted the original tweet. And that was clearly something that did not sit right with Sharpe — he’s not the only one.

When scrolling through Bayless’ Twitter page, every single one of his tweets has been “ratio-ed” to the point where there are more comments than likes. It is clear that he has a lot of work to do if he wants to regain the trust and respect of the sports and internet communities.

Thankfully, Hamlin seems to be making progress in his recovery. His close friend Jordan Rooney told Ian Rapoport that his condition is in a “positive direction.”

Check out the full statement down below:

Keep rooting for Damar Hamlin, everyone. Him and his family are going through it. This is truly a freak accident we have never seen before. Pray for the Hamlin family.
