Matt Strahm Calls Chaim Bloom A Coward

Did Chaim Bloom fail the Red Sox at the 2022 MLB Trade Deadline? The obvious answer to that question is a resounding yes. It’s something we covered at great length. Now even former players are calling the Red Sox President of Baseball Operations a coward.

Appearing on the “Baseball Isn’t Boring” podcast, the new Phillies reliever ripped Bloom for not doing anything at the deadline:

“Foolishly thinking, and being a fan of baseball, more teams would go for it at the deadline,” Strahm said. “Like, fully go for it. You didn’t see that. Even look at Boston. Do we still know what we did?

“I don’t think (the Red Sox thinking they weren’t going for it) was at the time because obviously Sale was still coming back, there was a chance of Paxton still coming so it still felt like if we get these horses we can 100 percent do it. It just felt like … We played field position is what it felt like. I don’t want to say we punted it because people think punt then you just gave up. Nah. We had a six-point lead and we pinned them inside the 10.”

At least someone said it. Way to go Strahm. By the way, he’s right.

The only thing Bloom did at the deadline was take on Eric Hosmer. That’s literally it. They didn’t get enough for Christian Vazquez. The great big coward of Bloom got it wrong and Strahm rightfully blasted him. End of blog. We’re far from done with Bloom because that man needs to be fired immediately.

No room for halfway crooks. You’re either in or you’re out. Chaim Bloom doesn’t get it. Still over the tax. Didn’t get enough for Vazquez and pissed off Bogaerts in the process.
