LA Knight Listed on the Internal WWE Roster — Reports

Ever since Triple H has taken over as head of creative in WWE, he has wasted little time restoring order. He has given multiple wrestlers their full names back and even brought back some notable superstars including Karrion Kross, Johnny Gargano, Hit Row, Dakota Kai and Candice LeRae. Well, it looks like the changes aren’t stopping any time soon, as one superstar is seemingly going back to the character they had in NXT.

It’s been reported by PWinsider that Max Dupri is now listed as LA Knight in WWE’s internal roster. LA Knight was the name he went under in NXT. Knight came into NXT during a transitional period when the company was going from NXT to NXT 2.0. During his time in NXT, Knight won the Million Dollar championship belt in a feud with Cameron Grimes.

Main Roster

LA Knight made his main roster debut on Smackdown in May of this year. He went under the name Max Dupri and was the head of Maximum Male Models, a group that consisted of two wrestlers, who really just wanted to be models. Maxxine Dupri joined the group in July after it was reported that Max had some heat on him backstage. Nevertheless, he would return to WWE television after Vince McMahon retired.

Recently, it has been clear that LA Knight is getting tired of Maximum Male Model’s antics. Furthermore, Dupri seemingly quit the group on the Sept. 30 episode of Smackdown. Knight also dropped his famous catchphrase, “yeah,” when he quit the group. In addition to this, PWinsider also reported that Maximum Male Models will continue to be a group moving forward.

LA Knight hasn’t wrestled a match since April of this year. Hopefully, Knight will return the ring soon.
