Saquon Barkley Admits He’s ‘Fed Up’ With The Critics
I have been one of the biggest Saquon Barkley haters since the former Penn State product joined the league. Stop eating the cheese on Barkley. The guy just isn’t that good. The Barry Sanders comps were ridiculous. As more time goes along, the Reggie Bush comparison seems like an accurate one. SHOCKER. Trey wins again.
Heading into the 2022 season, he’s starting to get people to eat the cheese on him again. He’s not that good, doesn’t have a lick of Nick Chubb’s talent, and has a stupid running style that was never going to work long term. Barkley finally admitted the haters have gotten to him.
“I’ve been playing this position for a very long time, and by no means am I the perfect running back, and I still got so much work to do,” Barkley said. “But I know that’s been the conversation or been a thought or been a thing out there that’s said about me it, ‘He don’t know what he’s doing. He’s just dancing back there.’ I’m really kind of fed up with people who never played a position and try to speak on how I run a position. We call them All-Pros with clickers in their hand. Running back is a tough position, but it’s easy to be there and watch football and watch on tv, or even watch on watch film and stop the clicker and say, ‘Oh, he should’ve made that cut.’ There’s a lot of things that go into making that cut. There’s a lot of things like your shoulders being square. There’s a lot of things that have an impact on your vision.”
Don’t pick Barley in fantasy people. He runs like a moron and it’s something I’ve dated back to when he was playing at Penn State. Also, taking running backs on bad teams is what loses you your fantasy league. Don’t do it. It’s the golden rule of fantasy. You will lose that gamble nine times out of ten.
If Barkley wants to prove the haters wrong, it would start by having a good 2022 season. Last year, he was worse than Devontae Booker so the only person he should be mad at is himself. Does Brian Daboll fix any of this? Maybe, maybe not.
Still, this Barkley thing will go down as one of the greatest con jobs in NFL history. People really thought this was a guaranteed Hall of Famer. How dumb does it get? Do you people not learn? Trey wins again just like he always does. Barkley might have a better year than a year ago but that’s not a high bar. The Giants will suck again. None of this will really matter in the end. We should all be counting down the days until Barkley isn’t a member of the Giants anymore.
