Von Miller shares high praise for Bills teammate Greg Rousseau

Von Miller, who signed to the Buffalo Bills in 2022, is a Denver Broncos legend and a future Hall of Famer. Miller’s impressive list of accolades includes two Super Bowls, eight Pro Bowls, and three first-team AP All-Pro selections.

Miller is nearing the end of his career, so he is embracing more of a mentor role lately. He has always been helpful to younger defenders, however, as he holds a “Pass Rush Summit” for players to work with each other over the off season. It was here that Miller got one of his first looks at his new teammate, Greg Rousseau. Rousseau is a defensive end that was selected by the Bills in the first round of the 2021 NFL draft.

Miller was speaking to WIVB-TV at a Bills media session when he demonstrated high praise for Rousseau by saying,

“It’s like polishing a diamond,”

Miller would further explain his compliment and the idea behind his “Pass Rush Summit” by stating,

“I really don’t try to change guys. I just try to really see what they’re thinking… One thing that we can really bounce off each other is our mindset, and I give him my mindset, I give him my view of things and hopefully, he can learn from that.”

He went on to exclaim,

“That’s what I do with ‘G’ [Greg Rousseau]. He’s big, tall, and rangy. I could never, you know, play the game the way he plays the game.”

Without a doubt, Miller takes the mental aspect of football seriously, and he likes to share ideas with other players. Finally, Rousseau is in a prime position to take a big leap in his second year, especially with guidance from the great Von Miller.

Buffalo Bills Off Season Acquisitions

The biggest move by the Bills this off season was the Von Miller acquisition. They signed Miller to an enormous six-year deal worth $120 million.

Additionally, the Bills were able to re-sign two players that were free agents in 2022. They signed offensive lineman Ryan Bates to a four-year deal, and re-signed wide receiver Isaiah McKenzie to a two-year deal worth $4.4 million.

A lot of the Bills’ other signings were one-year deals to fill holes or add depth to their already championship-contending roster. These signings include players like guard Rodger Saffold lll, tight end O.J. Howard, defensive end Shaq Lawson, and wide receiver Jamison Crowder.
