Kevin Love announced on Wednesday that he was going to re-sign with the Cavaliers for $110 million over 5 years. Now it appears there is a recent report that suggests Love may not be with Cleveland for the entirety of his new 5 year deal.

According to Sporting News Love could in fact be on the move in a year or two. Some NBA executives told Sean Deveney they believe the power forward could be playing elsewhere by this time next year.

“Maybe in February or in the summer, you could see Love being talked about,” one league executive told Sporting News. “If he stays healthy next year, that is what is most important. If he plays 75 games or so, then he is still going to have a lot of value, even if his numbers are not great. So it is still a chance for them to get assets going forward and if you gave up the No. 1 pick, you need to be able get something that will help long-term.”

Cleveland of course did not want to lose Love for nothing, especially after parting with 2014 rookie of the year Andrew Wiggins. Then again the Cavs may have found themselves in a bit of a cap problem after re-signing Tristan Thompson and Iman Shumpert.

The Cavaliers are also working on bringing back Mathew Dellavedova and J.R. Smith as well as trading Brendan Haywood. Trading Love could be the right move if he and Tristan Thompson fail to form a dominating front court. If problems between LeBron James and Love resonate in the upcoming season don’t be surprised if Love is on the move.
