Joe Gatto Leaving ‘Impractical Jokers’ After a Decade

Everyone’s favorite pranksters, the ‘Impractical Jokers’ have been on television for nine seasons. They will now be moving forward without Joe Gatto. The 45-year-old comedian announced his departure from the show following new developments in his personal life. Here are key excerpts from his Instagram post announcing the news:

Sorry in advance for the long and more-serious-than-usual note below, I just wanted to let you all know that I will no longer be involved with Impractical Jokers.

However, due to some issues in my personal life, I have to step away. Bessy and I have decided to amicably part ways, so now I need to focus on being the best father and co-parent to our two incredible kids.

Outside of my family, my relationships with Murr, Q and Sal have been the most important in my life. I know they will continue to make the world laugh.

As I work through the challenges I am facing, I hope to and am excited to create new ways to entertain you.

Gatto’s departure leaves behind his show mates James Murray, Brian Quinn, and Sal Vulcano. The trio released a statement of their own, available on Brian’s Instagram.

Season 10 of ‘Impractical Jokers’ commences filming this month. It stands to look a lot different this time around.
