On SimBull you can invest in shares of an MLB team, and two of the highest priced teams are the Dodgers and the Yankees. Their share values are right under 40 dollars, but the two teams are not at the same level at this point of the season.
SimDodgers ($37.64)
This is the most expensive MLB in the SimMarket and it is for a good reason. The team is 9-2 and has already given their owners the most dividends with their wins. The team that repeated last year is off to a fast start in 2021 with their eyes set on winning again, and this team is built to win a championship.
They added the 2020 Cy Young award winner to their rotation, and Trevor Bauer is the third starter on the Dodgers. On any other team (besides the Mets and Yankees) he is probably the day one starter. That speaks to the depth this team has, and it is built for a deep playoff run with their top three in the rotation.
Their division is a cake walk after the Padres. Outside of their instate “rival” the Dodgers should be cleaning up the Rockies and Diamondbacks. Their lineup can hit almost anyone in the National League with Mookie Betts and Cody Bellinger leading the way.
SimYankees ($36.01)
I swear while writing this I have no bias against the Yankees but they are not worth their price at the moment on SimBull. Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton are both healthy, and both are underperforming. If both of them are in the lineup they should be better than their sub .500 record a dozen games into the season.
Their division is looking tougher and tougher each day, the Red Sox are not going to be the punching bag that teams thought they would be. Shit even the Orioles are only one game under .500 at this point in the season and that is a surprise to most.
The Yankees are not worth their value on SimBull and if you are going to invest almost $40 you are better off buying the SimDodgers.
