Derrick Henry is the lifeblood that fuels the Titans’ offense. He is literally the reason they win. He won the NFL Offensive Player of the Year award because of this.
Last year, Henry lead the league in rushing touchdowns, yards, and carries. This is after he led the league in 2019 as well.
With 2,027 yards Henry became just the eighth player to rush for over 2,000 yards. Plus, he put the ball in the endzone 17 times.
He had this to say to the Associated Press:
“Two thousand yards is always on a running back’s mind, especially in the league because it is so unique. As far as me, as long as I train hard and work hard in the offseason, and then when I come in for training camp and do what I need to do to be ready to prepare for the season, everything would take care of itself. Always put the team goals first, then individual goals come second.”
Hopefully, he can continue his run of greatness.
Henry had 303 in 2019 and 378 last year. He is the Titans’ offense. Considering how much they use him, he might repeat as NFL Offensive Player of the Year if he can stay healthy.
