Draymond Green has made a name for himself in the league for not holding back and letting the media and players know exactly what’s on his mind. So during last night’s Warriors vs. Pistons game in which the Warriors handled decisively by a score of 118-91. Things unexpectedly got a little heated at the end of the game when Rodney McGruder approached the Warrior’s bench looking to defend teammate Wayne Ellington about an encounter he had with warriors forward Juan Toscano-Anderson in the first half.

Klay Thompson caught wind of the commotion chiming in that ” This dude might be out the league soon he’s probably mad about that. who knows.” referring to Rodney McGruder. But the highlight to an otherwise forgettable game was Draymond Green’s Press conference filled with two minutes of letting us know Rodney McGruder isn’t the tough guy he thinks he is.

Draymond sets the record straight

Draymond’s two-minute rant on tough guy’s in the league is filled with many great quotes such as ” When the fuck did Rodney McGruder become the tough guy of the team.”& “There are too many tough guys in the league these days for me. But I know ain’t nobody scared of no damn Rodney Mcgruder. Like, Are you fucking kidding me? It’s Crazy. Insane”.

Draymond finished the night with 4 points, 6 assists, and 5 rebounds in 28 minutes played. Rodney Mcgruder finished the night with 8 points and 2 rebounds in 6 minutes played. So Draymond may be on to something when he said ” You got nothing better to do that you’re still thinking of something from the first or second quarter when you weren’t in the game.”

And maybe Draymond is right the days of true enforcers on NBA rosters are over but one thing is for sure Rodney Mcgruder has a long way to go before he is considered one.
