It turns out the apple doesn’t fall too far from the tree. Only a couple of years ago, Antonio Brown went crazy mode and lost his mind. The antics ranged from Facebook live to burning his feet to smithereens. It’s taken JuJu Smith-Schuster some time to revel in the WR1 status for the Steelers. It’s apparent he’s gone full blown diva and it’s time for Pittsburgh to get the hell out of the crazy town business.
In the history of the NFL, there’s been a lot of diva wide receivers. Randy Moss, Terrell Owens, and Chad Johnson are just a few that come to mind. The problem is those three guys have more talent in their pinky toes than JuJu has in his entire body.
Who does JuJu think he is? You’re not even Joe Horn. Smith-Schuster is the third best receiver on his own team and all of the advanced metrics show he stinks at separating. If you’re going to be a diva, perform like one of the field.
Coming into the Monday Night game against the Bengals, JuJu had 79 receptions for 655 yards, and seven touchdowns. Rookie Chase Claypool and Diontae Johnson have both been superior to JuJu. If Ben Roethlisberger wasn’t the NFL leader in passing attempts, JuJu’s numbers would be far worse than they already are.
Let’s just say his Monday Night game isn’t going much better…
The former 2nd round pick out of USC is a free agent following the 2020 season. There’s not a chance in hell I re-sign him if I’m Kevin Colbert. Just like the Steelers did with Antonio Brown, move on and get rid of the headache. You’re better off with the third round comp pick for letting JuJu walk in free agency.
Anybody that cares about Tik Tok doing pre-game dances at midfield needs to go. Especially given the lack of talent that JuJu Smith-Schuster has. Pittsburgh drafts receivers historically very well. Finding the next Smith-Schuster won’t be hard to do.
