Under Maintenance
We deeply apologize for interrupting your reading but Vendetta is currently undergoing some important maintenance! You may experience some layout shifts, slow loading times and dififculties in navigating.
It’s funny how life works. The algorithm will not be denied. I dropped my Sports Media Independence blog. A few minutes later, I was scrolling on YouTube and saw this video. It turns out someone else actually gets it. Former USC and Pitt quarterback Max Browne just might understand the future of sports media.
I don’t know who needs to hear this, but he’s 100% right. More and more people are gaining awareness. The truth of the matter is, ESPN has already died. The funeral just hasn’t been announced yet. They’re Kodak. Sure, Kodak still exists, but they also don’t matter.
You’re never going to accomplish anything meaningful by working for places like ESPN anymore. And frankly, a lot of the work they do is trash. The north star will be maintaining your independence while getting to own your own platform. There aren’t many people who see this vision yet, but the handful of smart people who do, will win in the end.
I have no idea if Max will end up reading this post. I did try to shoot him an email a few weeks ago to see if he wanted to do a podcast to discuss the upcoming QBs in college football. Either way, if you’re out there, Max, my line is open. If you want to maintain your independence and want a deal with the new fantasy contest platform that helps you maintain just that, you know where to find me.
