Kaedan Korczak Inks Four-Year Extension With Golden Knights

The Golden Knights just keep winning. And no… they’re not done. Did you have a Kaedan Korczak extension on your bingo card? If not, don’t worry, you should celebrate this one anyway because Vegas completed another great piece of business.

In a press release announced by the club, the two sides agreed to a four-year extension. Korczak would have been a Group-6 UFA next summer if a deal hadn’t gotten done by then. Vegas gets it done early and at a ridiculously fair number.

“VEGAS (July 2, 2025): Vegas Golden Knights General Manager Kelly McCrimmon announced today, July 2, the following roster transactions:”

• “The organization has signed defenseman Kaedan Korczak to a four-year contract extension through the 2029-30 NHL season worth an average annual value of $3,250,000.”

You may not know who Korczak even is. That’s okay. With Alex Pietrangelo on LTIR, Korczak is going to step into a full time role now. His metrics were off the charts last year. Albeit, in 40 games, but he played his tail off when given an opportunity.

Again, the guy was damn good last year. I don’t think he’s come close to hitting his ceiling yet. Already damn good defensively. He adds more punch and offensive fire power? This contract could look like a damn steal within a year or two.

We’ll see what it looks like in more of a full time role, but all of his metrics are way better than what Nic Hague put together. Vegas may have actually upgraded their blue line, paving the way for Korczak to play…
