Where Is Theo Epstein? The Guy Who Hired Craig Breslow Is in Witness Protection
Theo Epstein works for the Red Sox again. I’m just not sure anybody knows what he does. Based on everything that’s going on with Craig Breslow and the club right now, maybe it’s time for the guy who hired him twice to come out of hiding.
Epstein hired Breslow with the Cubs and played a part in getting him the role with the Red Sox. Given the fact that the Red Sox traded their best player because of bad leadership, a lack of culture, and zero forward-thinking ability… wouldn’t now be the time that Epstein has something to say?
The guy who was once the face of accountability is hiding while the child he gave the keys to lights a historic franchise on fire.
If Theo can’t defend this, then why the hell did he hire him in the first place?
If Theo isn’t going to speak up now, does he even do anything for the club other than steal money?
I can’t be the only one who is wondering this…
Seriously, wasn’t Theo supposed to bring back credibility? I’d argue the Sox have never had less credibility than they do right now, and if Theo isn’t going to step in now, he’s never going to.
We know exactly what’s happening here. Theo knows this is a sinking ship, but he won’t say anything because he hired the guy who is currently sinking the ship. Theo isn’t a leader. The only thing he’s doing right now is stealing money while staying in hiding.
If we’re being real about it… I’d argue it’s borderline shameful… and more people should be talking about it.
