Stick a fork in Jase McClellan. He’s probably done. The former Alabama product was placed on injured reserve in Week 15. The severity of the injury wasn’t really revealed, but I guess it’s enough to cut the cord.
The Falcons are making a switch at running back. McClellan is out. Jashaun Corbin is in.
“FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. — The Atlanta Falcons signed running back Jashaun Corbin, the team announced Tuesday.”
“Corbin led all UFL players in rushing yards during the 2025 season while playing for the San Antonio Brahmas. In 10 games, Corbin totaled 97 carries for 514 yards and four touchdowns, along with 18 receptions for 138 yards. He also finished with the third-most all-purpose yards in the UFL. In addition to his rushing and receiving yards, Corbin gained 252 yards as a kick returner, bringing his total to 904 yards on the season.”
“In a corresponding move, the Falcons released running back Jase McClellan.”
It’s one thing to not beat out Bijan Robinson, or even Tyler Allgeier. It’s another when you’re getting cut in favor of a San Antonio Brahmas UFL running back.
It’s a shame because I thought McClellan had a chance. Maybe not to be crazy Alabama good, but in that Brian Robinson tier. If that power element developed, maybe he had a shot. That’s just not going to be the case. If you have McClellan in dynasty or any fantasy format, you’re probably safe to cut bait, but maybe wait until the waiver wire goes through on this one.
