Sports Media
The secret to all victory lies in the organization of the non-obvious. ESPN put out a column about intel from all 32 teams after the 2025 NFL Draft. If you’re smart, you already know where I’m going with this. What was said in that article isn’t about the prospects. It’s about who’s talking and why they’re talking.
Look, you’re already here. You may as well take a seat and hear what I have to say. I’ve spent enough time analyzing the sports media industry, so I understand the evaluator who is telling you these things sees and also observes.
The bottom line here is that these beat writers aren’t inventing these narratives. They’re not smart enough to. Someone is telling them what to say. It’s a matter of who. There’s a reason why these things are being said. It’s about figuring out why. We just have to ask the right questions. We just may stumble upon the breadcrumb the universe left for us along the way.
I’m not going to go over all of these. The link to the post is in the intro paragraph. I’ll show you a few examples and then you should be able to use your head for the rest of them once we show some patterns.
Let’s start right at the top with the Cowboys. Paragraph two says, “AFC team said”. Paragraph one and two do not include that line. What does that tell you?
The Cowboys wanted Tetairoa McMillan and would have picked him if he was available. Jerry Jones understands building a real offensive line is important. He took Zack Martin over Johnny Manziel when a lot of people would have went the other way. They were fine picking Booker. They just would have preferred to trade a few spots and still gotten him. They just weren’t 100% sure they could find a path to make sure that happened.
They found a way to have their cake and eat it too. Pursuing a trade for a receiver was the next mission. They tried Rashod Bateman, but Baltimore is in win-now mode and likes where they’re at. They were more than willing to take the shot on George Pickens and felt as though they had enough leverage to trade a 2026 pick that later became an incoming comp pick if necessary to make it happen.
Jerry Jones isn’t going to tell you all of that. However, he will give you a taste and that should be enough to piece it all together. Do you think he’s someone who can keep his mouth shut? Even if it didn’t come from Jones, the messaging up top gives permission to everyone else that it’s okay to reveal secrets.
If you’re smart, you can see who’s leaking and why. You can even seen what teams aren’t leaking and it’s filled with guessing fluff. You can’t have rats in the building, and this article is a hell of a way of revealing which teams have that exact problem. By the way, if I can sniff them out based on one ESPN article… what do you think would happen if I actually took over one of these teams?
