Raheim Sanders 2025 NFL Draft Profile

Raheim Sanders, AKA Rocket Sanders, is one of many talented running backs entering the NFL ranks. I’m aware the 2025 NFL Draft has concluded, but there are a few stragglers in terms of individual profiles we’re going to hit. This is one of them, so enjoy the profile.

NFL Draft Stock Report: Week 2Week 3Week 6Week 10Week 12Week 14Cheez-It Citrus Bowl, East-West (1), (2), (3), (4)

Sanders, 22, was a four star recruit coming out of high school and was actually listed as an athlete. The Rockledge, Florida, native was also listed as the 165th overall player, 7th ranked athlete, and 19th player in the state during his recruiting class. The senior tailback spent three years with Arkansas prior to finishing up one year with the Gamecocks at South Carolina.

I thought Sanders looked good at the Combine. Checking in at 6-foot, 217, there’s no question he’s talented. We’re talking about a guy who was SEC All-Freshman Team and then rushed for 1,443 yards the following year. It’s just that the 2023 season was nightmare fuel. He looked like trash mostly due to knee and shoulder issues. Sanders finished off his collegiate career with an 881 yard season at 4.8 yards per carry with South Carolina.

4.46 speed is really encouraging. It shows me that he’s not suffering from any ill effects to the prior knee injury. He’s also a big back and it shows. Big back with plus vision and usually falls forward. The downside here is that he has some fumbles on the resume, isn’t great in pass pro, and struggles catching the football. Other than that, he’s a really useful power back with plus burst. If you can’t tell from the stock notes above, this is a player that I’ve been monitoring for a long time, and more information can be found there.

I actually had a late round grade here. Somewhere in round 5-6-7 would have made sense. Because this running back class is so deep, Sanders didn’t get picked. I guess not shocking, but he certainly has a chance to carve out a role at the NFL level.
