Longerbeam, 24, was a three star recruit out of the state of Virginia. During the 2020 cycle, he was also ranked as the 41st overall athlete and 19th overall player in the state. The Alexandria native spent all five years with the Scarlet Knights.

The Rutgers product was Honorable Mention All-Big Ten Conference the last two years after taking over as the full time starter midway through 2022. He’s got five picks over the last three years too. Over the last two years, Longerbeam has 21 PBUs, which isn’t a small number.

I did watch my fair share of Rutgers games. Mostly because I love their running back (profile). Longerbeam was a standout in the games I watched. He also blew up the Combine. The movement skills were good but running a 4.39 is damn impressive. Checking in at 5-foot-11, 175, there is certainly some athlete qualites to make you become intrigued. He’s not big but his feet are nice. Has some twitch to his game and five career forced fumbles isn’t nothing.

Also, his 134-inch broad jump was in the 97th percentile for the class. He might be a better fit for the slot, but this dude has ability.

Look, we’re talking about a late round cornerback here who is on the older side. With that said, he’s one of my favorite depth corners to turn the card in for during the late rounds. There just might be something here.
