Brant Kuithe 2025 NFL Draft Profile

If you have noticed a trend, a lot of these profiles we’ve done thus far it’s been a lot of chipping away at the lower end guys. Some of them are because of sad stories, like Trey Sanders. Well… this is another one on that end of the spectrum. Let’s talk about everything you need to know about Brant Kuithe, the tight end out of Utah!

NFL Draft Stock Report: Week 4

Let’s start with a positive. Kuithe was better than Dalton Kincaid when they were both on the same team. I don’t know how it’s even arguable. Kuithe was just the way better player and if you want to question it, tell me I was wrong compared to the industry on the things I said predraft about Kincaid. We’re sure that guy should have been a first round pick?

Kuithe, 25, is a former three star athlete out of the state of Texas. We’re talking about a guy here who was getting college snaps all the way back to 2018. The biggest problem has nothing to do with his play. It has everything to do with his ability to stay on the field. Medical redshirts are what kept him in college for so long. 2019 and 2021 he was healthy. Otherwise, it has not been the case and the older he’s gotten, the more he’s starting to tier into that permanently broken category.

2019 and 2021 were similar. Scored six touchdowns each of those seasons and was at around 600 total yards. The numbers aren’t going to blow you away but he did have some moments. The Utah passing attack didn’t exactly do him any favors once Cam Rising fell apart too.

Again, this is a guy who has played 13 games over the last three years combined. It’s just not good enough and the more you see him, the more it looks like the injuries have taken an overall bite out of his game. Checks in at 6-foot-2, 236, and is much more of a passing game tight end rather than a complete tight end. We’re going to be categorizing these guys into two categories. Kuithe is the Big F category.

Had a few drops during his career but is overall a pretty good pass catcher when healthy. Plays like a big wide receiver and runs much better than a normal tight end, or at least used to before the injuries piled up. Over 17 yards per catch as a sophomore and you never saw that guy again. The problem is I don’t think he’s overly strong and you won’t find many times where he plays the role of MFer this ball is mine.

I wouldn’t have said this years ago but at this point, Kuithe gets an undrafted grade for me. By the way, didn’t workout at the Combine either, likely because of more health issues. Don’t mind giving him as a deal as an undrafted guy but I can’t imagine you’re spending a pick here given the circumstances.
