Daniel Jones is locked and loaded for the 2020 NFL Season. Following a solid rookie campaign, Jones finally has all his weapons and is ready for war. Jones took over in Week 3 of the 2019 season for Eli Manning, bringing the Giants back from the dead in that game. Jones, put together a pretty good season.
Yes, I know Jones turned the ball over quite a bit; the most glaring statistic was those 11 lost fumbles, but the offensive line, which never showed promised, was banged up. Saquon Barkley, Evan Engram, and Sterling Shepard all missed time. Jones could’ve had a terrible season; however, he still threw for over 3,000 yards with a 2:1 Touchdown to Interception ratio. For a rookie, that’s pretty darn good, especially with Pat Shurmer being your head coach.
Jones comes into this season with an added 10lbs of muscle the man looks absolutely jacked right now. With new head coach Joe Judge and a new Offensive Coordinator in Jason Garrett, Jones is going flourish in this offense. Due to Covid-19, we didn’t have the usual preseason games to get a taste of what this offense is capable of, although can’t say I’m too mad about that. Jones, Barkley, Engram, Shepard, Golden Tate, and Darius Slayton all played ZERO snaps together, that’s right zero. With all of the Giants’ offensive weapons healthy, hopefully. How can anyone say Daniel Jones doesn’t have all he needs to succeed this year?
As long as the Giants offense can keep the injury bug at bay, which has plagued this team for three years, Jones will light it up this year. The offensive line has to be better than what we saw last year. If the line is decent and everyone stays somewhat healthy, Jones will have a phenomenal sophomore season in the NFL. Danny Dimes is ready to take the league by storm.
