Raheem Morris: Falcons Planning Heavy Workload For Bijan Robinson

Bijan Robinson already let everyone know that the Falcons told him that they plan on making him their version of Christian McCaffrey. That sounds great and all… but what does that exactly look like? Fantasy football managers might want to hear this nugget from new head coach Raheem Morris.

“In the simplest form you can put it, get the ball to Bijan as much as possible in the most ideal situations as possible,” Morris said, via Terrin Waack of the Falcons website.

Well, okay then!

CMC had had 339 touches last year. Bijan had 272 touches and had 1,463 yards all-purpose yards as a rookie. If the former Texas product has over 300 touches in year two, which looks like it’s going to be the case barring injury, he has a ton of value in fantasy, obviously.

Bijan was as advertised as a rookie. He averaged 4.6 yards per carry on a mediocre offense. Having Kirk Cousins, a real quarterback who can at least get the ball down the field, should help. Bijan should have success in this zone running style that the Rams have been using.

More than anything, maybe this means a reduced role for Tyler Allgeier who was a vital part of the rushing attack in the past.
