A.J. Brown Agrees To Three-Year, $96 Million Extension With Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles and A.J. Brown have agreed to a three-year extension worth $96 million, according to ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter.

With this contract, Brown is now the highest-paid receiver in the league at $32 million AAV, beating out both Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill and recently-paid Lions wideout Amon-Ra St. Brown, who are both at $30 million AAV. Brown has caught 194 receptions for 2952 yards and 18 touchdowns during his two seasons with Philadelphia.

It also retained wide receiver DeVonta Smith earlier this off-season, who agreed to a three-year, $75 million deal. Smith even showed his excitement about Brown’s contract extension with this GIF that he posted on Twitter:

The Eagles were able to obtain AJ Brown in a trade with the Tennessee Titans back in 2022 during draft night. With Brown signing an extension with the team, it is very clear the Eagles won the trade. Philly has been active this off-season also signing two-time Pro Bowl running back Saquon Barkley and former 2020 second-team All-Pro linebacker Devin White.

Philadelphia Eagles general manager Howie Roseman is the man fans should thank for helping the team retain their core players and with the addition of many players who have proved themselves in the past.

The Eagles, for the past few seasons, have been Super Bowl favorites, and now all the team has to do is put performances on the field and win the Lombardi trophy.
