Kiran Amegadjie 2024 NFL Draft Profile

Before you ask, yes I did have to triple-check the spelling of Kiran Amegadjie before I started writing, but now I am basically a pro. Amegadjie is next up to receive their 2024 NFL Draft profile. The former Yale Bulldog might not be getting a ton of hype leading into the draft, but I think he put out some really solid tape and might warrant another look. Let’s talk about it.

Amegadjie (first try), a former two-star recruit out of Illinois, committed to Yale in 2021 and played all three seasons there. He lined up first at Right Guard before moving over to Left Tackle, which proved fruitful. Injuries cut short his 2023 season, but only allowed three total hurries on 235 snaps. In over 1,300 snaps the previous two seasons, he only allowed 15 hurries and just one sack. We love a versatile Offensive Lineman who keeps his QB clean.

Kiran Amegadjie (first try again, I’m telling you I have this down) might be from a smaller school, but he is a standout on the tape. He’s got nimble feet, explodes off the line quickly, and uses his long length to land first against his defender. 6’5 with 36″ arms? Yes, please. Powerful in his upper and lower body. Pops his hips up upon contact to disrupt his defender as well. Really sits his ass down and anchors in when need be.

The hand placement hits erratically at times. For every two good reps, it feels like there is one right behind it, have to clean that up. The foot speed is nice, but I would like to see it become sharper. I don’t want him moving around for the sake of moving, I want the whole body to move as one unit. Can overextend at times as well when pulling, leading to missed blocks on the second level.

I think that Kiran Amegadjie (I’ll admit, I did screw up on that one. Tried putting the D before the G) could turn into an above-average to plus starter. I think it would be a mistake to trot him out there early in the season but give him time to sit and learn and he just might be alright. I have a third-round grade on him and would be more than willing to turn in the card on Day Two of the 2024 NFL Draft.
