Patrick Queen Inks Three-Year Deal With Steelers

Patrick Queen should be thanking Roquan Smith with a steak or nice dinner. The former Ravens linebacker got a nice deal from the division rival Steelers. He is cashing in for three years and $41 million per Adam Schefter and Marcus Spears:

Queen had a career year but it’s partly because he was part of one of the best linebacker units in football. The former LSU product has always shown flashes of being elite and finally put it together in 2023. He earned a Pro Bowl appearance as well as All-Pro Second Team recognition. His stat line included 133 total tackles, 3.5 sacks, nine tackles for loss, an interception, and a fumble. At only 24 years old, he still has plenty of years and dollars ahead of him. He obviously will not be remembered fondly in Baltimore but the Steelers add yet another piece to their defense.

The Year of The Traitor?

Yesterday we saw the Eagles lure in Saquon Barkley from the rival Giants in a pretty shocking move. This time around, it’s the AFC North that gets some fire lit under them. It’s also clear that Mike Tomlin and company will try to be competitive in 2024. They will have Russell Wilson under center after agreeing to a one-year deal. You already know that where there’s a will there’s a way in Pittsburgh. That defense will keep them in games no matter how the offense performs. They also own the 20th pick in this year’s draft so it’s very possible they add a quality starter for either side of the ball.

Patrick Queen is staying in the AFC North but not the Baltimore Ravens. The Pro Bowl linebacker signed a nice deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
