I told everyone what they needed to know days ago. The Raiders only interviewed three people for the job. The other two that didn’t get the job were interim GM Champ Kelly and Colts assistant Ed Dodds. Telesco got the job for one reason. He has experience doing the job. That’s it. Literally

In the most predictable turn of events ever, guess what the Raiders owner said about why he hired Telesco.

“He’s got experience, and that was really important at this point. That was huge,” Davis told Vic Tafur of TheAthletic.com.

I mean… what do you even want me to say?

Tom Telesco: Could I Have Saved His Job With The Chargers?

Charger fans are laughing right now. They just got Jim Harbaugh and the dope that hired Brandon Staley/Anthony Lynn is now running the Raiders. In ten years on the job with the Chargers, Telesco drafted a grand total of two Pro Bowlers after the first round. Three playoff appearances and two playoff wins. Just a year ago he took Quentin Johnston ahead of Zay Flowers.

Don’t worry, the guy has experience. It doesn’t matter that he sucks at the job. He has experience.

If you have a brain you know that this hiring search was totally irresponsible and it won’t end well. Good luck trying to navigate a division with Andy Reid, Sean Payton, and Harbaugh. I’m sure the Raiders will look great in that race!
