Brandon Beane Lies About How Good Stefon Diggs Is
The Buffalo Bills brass had their end-of-the-year press conferences. Both Brandon Beane and Sean McDermott should be fired. Yet, it seems like Buffalo is poised to run it back despite knowing this duo won’t get the franchise over the hump. During the media availability, Beane was forced to lie about how good Stefon Diggs is.
“He’s a No. 1 receiver,” Beane said Tuesday. “I firmly believe that, I’m not wavering off of that.”
“Stef can still play, I’m sure he would love to have that deep ball again, he’d be the first to tell you. He’s super competitive, he’s gonna work his tail off this offseason,” he said.
Diggs is not a number one receiver. I understand that Beane has to say that but it’s not the truth. Now Justin Jefferson is a number one. You know, the player that ended up being drafted as part of the Diggs trade. That’s a number one.
Justin Jefferson, Ja’Marr Chase, Tyreek Hill, Davante Adams, and AJ Brown are number ones. Let’s not put Diggs in that category, please. He’s not in that class and we all know it. He’s not even as good as Mike Evans, CeeDee Lamb, or Amon-Ra St. Brown either.
Diggs, 30, notched 107 receptions for 1,183 yards and eight touchdowns in 2023. The former Maryland product led the team in all three of those categories. He might be the number one in Buffalo but he’s not a number one league wide. No way.
Josh Allen deserves better than this.
