Rumor: Are WWE, TNA Set To Work Together In 2024?

WWE has not been a company we associate with “The Forbidden Door” in professional wrestling for some time now. With a new regime now heading up WWE can we see some changes on that front in 2024? More specifically a collaboration with an old rival in TNA.

On the New Year’s Evil episode of WWE NXT, it was announced that Triple H will be making a major announcement on this Thursday’s WWE 2024 Preview special.

This news is following TNA releasing a promotional video for their TNA+ subscription service that noted the company will be referring to their pay-per-views as “premium live events” similar to WWE. Many believe that these two are linked and the company will be working with TNA this year to some degree. WWE and TNA have worked together in the past as Mickie James was a participant in the 2022 Women’s Royal Rumble Match on behalf of TNA as their Knockouts Champion at the time.

At the moment it is currently being denied that there’s a connection according to WrestleTalk, marking this up to just fantasy booking and speculation.

WWE buys TNA?

In my opinion, there may be much more proof to this than WWE may be leading on with. Endeavor, the company that owns WWE and UFC, powers the TNA+ service. Changing to “premium live events” shouldn’t looked at as just a coincidence.

Triple H’s announcement can very well be Endeavor acquiring TNA instead of just a working relationship, though The Anthem Media Group currently owns TNA. Since Endeavor already holds streaming rights to TNA, what prevents Endeavor from acquiring the promotion outright?

Endeavor has made it clear that it will do what is best for the business of its company when purchasing WWE last year. What has been best for business is giving the fans what they want and in return making more money, increasing the interest in WWE. Acquiring TNA will only increase the stock of the company in terms of interest; with the dream matches and collaborations that can happen with the Royal Rumble coming in three weeks, excitement is at an all-time high.

Since AEW purchased Ring of Honor in 2022, it would not be surprising if Endeavor purchased TNA. The fact that this new WWE under Endeavor has known no bounds in terms of imagination. Even a working relationship between WWE and TNA is now a possibility. Coming a long way from the old days with Vince McMahon. This Thursday will be very interesting indeed, let see what Triple H has under his sleeve.
