Tyler Buchner Goes Back To Notre Dame For Lacrosse

We found out pretty quickly this year that Tyler Buchner sucks. He’s just not a D1 quarterback and that’s okay. Buchner is still a talented pure athlete and appears to be going down a new path now. Buchner will return to Notre Dame but this time it will be for lacrosse.

VIA ESPN:

“Alabama backup quarterback Tyler Buchner says he will transfer back to Notre Dame to play lacrosse following the Crimson Tide’s run in the College Football Playoff.”

“I’ll be continuing my initial commitment to Alabama Football through the playoff and finishing what I started,” Buchner wrote on X. “I can’t thank everyone enough for their continued support.”

Buchner, a San Diego native, started his collegiate career with the Irish in 2022. Buchner played sparingly that year for Notre Dame but ended up following offensive coordinator Tommy Rees to Alabama. Then the South Florida game happened and we found out pretty quickly that he can’t play a lick. Not a single lick. When you’re quarterbacking Alabama and you’re playing USF, you just can’t go 5/14 for 34 yards. Yes, it was as ugly as the stat line indicated watching it.

But hey, good luck to Buchner on his next journey in life. Maybe Karl can write you a blog about how he’s a good lacrosse player. I’m not educated on the sport of lacrosse so I’m going to leave it here. Except I will just quickly remind you that this is really only two games away from happening sooooooo.
