Justin Jefferson does not care about your fantasy football team: ‘I don’t care’

Fantasy football owners who have Justin Jefferson this season are punching the walls.

Jefferson was drafted as the No. 1 pick in certain leagues and was valued as the top player in all of fantasy this year, but got injured in Week 5.

Prior to injury, Jefferson was looking unstoppable and looked like a good return on investment as a top-3 fantasy pick. But he suffered a hamstring injury, went to the IR and has yet to return. Usually, when players with hamstring injuries land on IR, there is a high probability that they will re-injure it within the first week of return.

Assuming it wasn’t too bad, the average time of return from a hamstring injury is four weeks. Justin Jefferson however, has yet to return and it’s Week 12.

Vikings head coach Kevin O’Connell has been extremely cautious with Jefferson, who has been eligible to return in Week 10; it’s unlikely he will suit up this week, too. This would mean Jefferson would return earliest in Week 14 because the Vikings have a bye in Week 13.

Fantasy managers who drafted Jefferson are furious because losing your first-round pick is a huge disadvantage. However, He was eligible to return in Week 10 and could’ve saved some fantasy teams by helping them make a playoff push.

Justin Jefferson doesn’t care about your fantasy team though.

My health is wayyyy more important than you winning your fantasy games,” he tweeted Tuesday. “It doesn’t matter how many times y’all flood my dms talking about me selling your team. I DON’T CARE”

Fantasy football is an amazing game that makes football more interactive for fans. But it also brings out anger and makes people view the players as non-human.

People have sent disgusting messages to players just because they didn’t perform. The players are people too and Jefferson shouldn’t return until he is fully healthy and ready to play. Why should Jefferson care about your team? He’s also frustrated he wants to play and compete.
