The Sacramento Kings had a very encouraging 2023-24 season, winning 48 games for the first time since the 2004-05 season and advancing to the playoffs for the first time since 2005-06.

The Kings, finishing as the No. 3 seed in a loaded Western Conference, got bounced in seven games to the then-reigning champion Golden State Warriors, but head coach Mike Brown and guard De’Aaron Fox earned the NBA’s Coach of the Year and (first annual) Clutch Player of the Year, respectively.
